2025 Scholarship Information from Brianna Kramer, scholarship chair
Hello, Tahoma NATS friends!
I am excited to announce our 20th Annual Tahoma NATS Scholarship Auditions. This event will take place on Sunday, March 30th, 2025, at 2pm at Federal Way United Methodist Church 29645 51st Ave S Auburn, WA 98001.
This year, thanks to many generous donations, Tahoma NATS will be awarding $3,000. The scholarship funds will be divided between 3 categories: Classical, Musical Theater and CM. Students will choose which category they would like to compete in when they fill out the online application. Please note that students will only be allowed to choose one category. The application and other information regarding scholarship requirements can be found on our Tahoma NATS website
Each singer will choose 2 contrasting songs in their chosen category. The wonderful Jinshil Yi will be our pianist for the event. Please send a pdf of your chosen songs to thekramerstudio@gmail.com so that Jinshil has an opportunity to look it over before the day of. Students will be able to briefly rehearse with Jinshil prior to the event start time. Once we have all the applications, we will send out more information on when students should arrive to rehearse. The doors will open to the public at 1:45pm. Everyone is welcome!
The application deadline will be Monday, March 3rd, 2025 @ 11:59pm. There is an essay portion to our scholarship that is worth 20% of their total score, so please make sure you share this information with your 2025 graduating seniors right away.
